Eligibility
• Candidates must be graduates of a Surgeon Assistant Program or a Physician Assistant Program that is ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant) accredited
Registration
• Registration for the PANCE exam is done online on the NCCPA website. Candidates will first need to register a new account and log on to register.
• During registration candidates selects a 180 day test window to take the test and then schedule an exam date and a Pearson VUE test venue

Exam Structure
• PANCE is a computer-based exam made up of 360 multiple-choice questions.
• The questions are set in 4 sections of 90 questions each. Each section is allotted 90 minutes to complete.
Other Information
• Registration fee for PANCE is $475
• The exam can only be taken 3 times a year, once in a 90-day period
• To pass the PANCE test you have to answer 55-60% of the questions correctly
• There is no penalty for wrong answer or for guessing
