National Clinical Mental Health Counselling Examination (NCMHCE)

The NCMHCE is organised by the National Board for Certified Counselors in order to assess the ability of practitioners as Clinical Mental Health Counsellors.

The test contains 10 scenarios or issues based on varied topics of mental health problems. The exams are designed to assess the candidates ability to solve problems, diagnose and resolve issues relating to mental health problems. Every case in the test is split into 5-8 different categories that are categorised as decision making techniques and information gathering.

  • The test is held twice every year.
